Fruity flavours and tastes of the tropical islands are a staple in a lot of cocktails/drinks. Although most of these drinks include alcohol as a component, it is completely possible to make good drink that uses these flavours but without the risk of a hangover after.

Orange and Pineapple juice go hand in hand , so the base flavour of this drink is very sweet and fruity to begin with. Ginger Ale adds its own slight spice and carbonation to the mix so it isn't pure fruit juices and an overbearing amount of sweetness. Of course because this is a Sunrise style drink, there is a touch of Grenadine here that creates that lovely colour and look that sells it so well.

Tiki cocktails and Rum based drinks with fruit juices are very popular, but with Mocktails like these it can make up for the missing alcohol by providing the same Caribbean experience.

Here is how it is made.

  • 4 oz. (120 ml) Pineapple Juice

  • 2 oz. (60 ml) Orange Juice

  • 1/2 oz. (15 ml) Lime Juice

  • 6 oz. (180 ml) Ginger Ale

  • 1/2 oz. (15 ml) Grenadine

Garnish : Pineapple Slice and Mint Sprig

Preparation

  1. Add the juices into a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake well till chilled.

  3. Pour and strain into a large glass over ice.

  4. Top with the Ginger Ale

  5. Drizzle the Grenadine around the inside edge of the glass.

  6. Garnish with a Pineapple slice and Mint sprig.
