If you are familiar and enjoy the Sex on the Beach cocktail, then you are going to love this one. The Sex on the Malibu Beach is a slight twist on the original with the differences being the addition of the popular Coconut Rum Malibu and a bit of Grenadine syrup. The drink looks a brighter shade of red compared to its original due to the Grenadine and with the use of red sugar to rim the glass , it comes out looking great.
In terms of flavour and taste you do notice the difference all be it a small one. The Coconut Rum pairs well with ingredients already in the drink that give it its tropical sweet appeal. Ingredients
Red Sugar
1 oz. (30ml) Vodka
½ oz. (15ml) Peach Schnapps
½ oz. (15ml) Coconut Rum (Malibu)
1 oz. (30ml) Cranberry Juice
2 oz. (60ml) Fresh Orange Juice
Splash of Grenadine
Garnish : Cherry
Preparation
Rim the edge of an Old Fashioned glass with Red Sugar.
Fill the glass with ice.
Add in all ingredients.
Garnish with a cherry.
