Palomas are a classic cocktail that everyone should try once. Its array of sweet, sour, salty and bitters tones are a beautiful experience for any cocktail fan. So adding a little twist to this classic to freshen it up for Valentines day is ideal for anyone looking to change things up in time to share one with your partner on the special day.

The small differences here are the use of Red Grapefruit Juice instead of regular and a nice bit of Pink Himalayan Salt around the rim of the glass. You still have that same flavour combination mentioned but with a bit more sweetness and Valentines glamour.

If you have Valentines plans indoors, then this is an ideal drink to get the night started with and share with your favourite person.

Here is how it is made.

Pink Paloma Ingredients

  • 2 oz. (60 ml) Tequila

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Red Grapefruit Juice

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Lime Juice

  • 1/2 oz. (15 ml) Simple Syrup

Garnish: Pink Himalayan Salt Rim and Red Grapefruit Slice

Preparation

  1. Rim a long glass with a lime and roll it in Pink Himalayan Salt.

  2. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.

  3. Shake well till chilled (10-12 seconds).

  4. Pour and strain into the glass over fresh ice.

  5. Garnish with a Red Grapefruit Slice.
