Prep time : 3 minutes

Serves : 1

Strength : Moderate

When you have classic cocktail as popular as the Whiskey Sour, you are bound to get people experimenting with it and creating exciting new variations. The great thing about the original recipe is there is so much room to add your own personal favourite flavours and ingredients to it to make it special. The Pineapple Whiskey Sour is a great example of how a small change to a drink can make all the difference and change a already amazing cocktail into something new and tasty.

The small changes in this come in the form of replacing traditional sugar syrup with plain granulated sugar for the sweet component, and the addition of Pineapple juice to add an even more sweeter fruity twist to what is usually a smooth sour experience. As with a normal Whiskey Sour , you can play about with the kind of Whiskey you want to use ( we recommend aa good Bourbon) as this can change the flavour profile of the drink a bit more and you may stumble on a favourite.

If you are a fan of the classic Whiskey Sour, then this will be another one you will want to try out. Very few drinks come with this kind of versatility so have fun with it and make it your own.

Here is how it is made.
