Peppermint is a flavour widely associated with the festive season, so it is a no brainer to whip up a minty twist on all time classic like the White Russian in the lead up to Christmas.

The changes in this recipe are small but make all the difference and add a fresher minty taste to what is usually a sweet and creamy cocktail.

Peppermint Schnapps is the additon in this White Russian variation and along with the usual components of Vodka, Coffee Liqueur and Cream you get a well balanced cocktail with all kinds of flavours. This is one of those cocktails that can be made fairly quickly and with minimal preparation time so it is perfect for busy parties or just sharing with the ones you love.

Here is how it is made.

Ingredients

• 2 oz. (30ml) Vodka

• 1 oz. (30ml) Coffee Liqueur

• 1 oz. (30ml) Peppermint Schnapps

• 1 oz. (30ml) Cream

Rim: Crushed Candy Canes

Garnish : A Candy Cane

Preparation

1. Rim a rocks glass with crushed cnady canes.

2. Add ingredients into a shaker except the cream with ice.

3. Shake well till chilled.

4. Pour into the glass over ice.

5. Pour the cream down the back of a spoon to layer on top of the drink.

6. Garnish with a candy cane.
