Passion Fruit Collins

A simple drink with not so basic flavours. This is the Passion Fruit Collins.

Prep time : 2 minutes

Serves : 1

Strength : Moderate

Collins drinks are some of the most simple and basic cocktails you can make, but do not let that make you think they have no flavour or flair to them. Passion fruit always comes off as a very sweet and intense flavour and when paired with the right ingredients can be a key component of a top cocktail.

The base of a drink like this is a Spirit (usually vodka) , a sour and a fizz (in this case Soda Water).

The sour aspect of the Lemon Juice helps balance out that intense sweet flavour of the Passion Fruit we just mentioned whilst not fully taking away its strong impact on the drink. Soda Water is typically used to top off a Collins drink and it adds a bit of substance and makes a cocktail like this that much more refreshing.

No doubt you have probably tried something similar to this before, but we know anyone with a taste for simple but satisfying cocktails will want to try this one out immediately.

Here is how it is made.
