A Negroni with a sparking twist. This is the Negroni Sbagliato.
Prep time : 2 minutes

Sometimes a messed up cocktail is not necessarily a bad thing, and this is exactly what that is. The Negroni Sbagliato translates to “ The Broken Negroni” with Sbagliato meaning “Bungled” or “Mistake”. But despite the name this is far from a broken recipe, and it adds its own sparkle to the original Negroni which is considered an all-time classic cocktail.
Like the original the Campari and Vermouth combination makes for a nice bitter citrusy flavour that is synonymous with the Negroni and if you have tried one before you will be familiar with. The Prosecco or Sparkling Wine adds a light carbonation which tones down the drink a bit and makes it more palatable for people who are not so drawn to intense bitter flavours.
This cocktail is only slightly taken from its parent recipe but brings a more light and friendly taste , so if you were not a fan of the Negroni we still recommend you give this one a go. It is one of the great drinks of Italy.
Here is how it is made.

1 ½ oz. (45ml) Campari
1 ½ oz. (45ml) Sweet Vermouth

Garnish : Orange Twist
