If you are short on spirits or are not looking to purchase any expensive ingredients anytime soon , then you may be looking for a cocktail that suits your budget but is also still delicious and refreshing. The Machete is just that and more. With a combination of three commonly used and inexpensive ingredients , you can make yourself a drink that will be easy to sit back and relax with.
Vodka and Pineapple juice are an easy but winning combination that has its strength, but the alcohol is masked very well. Top that off with some of your favourite Tonic Water which adds a refreshing carbonation and lightness, and you have a cocktail worthy of any occasion. It may be worth trying out various Tonic Waters if you are not use to it in drinks, brands such as Fever Tree have many different flavours and each one would add its own unique twist on this cocktail.
So, for the people out there that love a good drink but do not have much time on their hands or ingredients handy, this ones for you. We just know you are going to love it.
Here is how it is made.
Ingredients
2 oz. (60 ml) Vodka
3 oz. (90 ml) Pineapple juice
Tonic Water to top
Garnish : Lime wedge
Preparation
Fill a highball glass with ice.
Add in the Vodka and Pineapple juice.
Stir briefly for a few seconds.
Top with Tonic Water.
Garnish with a Lime wedge.
