Midori is a Melon flavoured Liqueur that is made in Japan and has many recipes for drinks it can be used in. We did an article on a recipe for the Midori Sour a while back, which fully brought out the best of Midori extremely sweet but delicious flavour. The Japanese Slipper is another great Midori based cocktails that only requires three simple ingredients to make.


Midori , Cointreau and Lemon juice come together in this drink to create a very potent but not too overbearing sweet and sour combination with a standout Melon flavour from the base liqueur. The drink also takes on a vibrant green colour that aesthetically look incredible. Throw in a simple Maraschino Cherry and you have yourself a top quality drink that you can make in minimal time with few ingredients.

Here is how it is made.






Ingredients

 
  • 1 oz. (30ml) Midori Melon Liqueur

  • 1 oz. (30ml) Cointreau

  • 1 oz. (30ml) Lemon juice








Preparation

 
  1. Add ice to a shaker.

  2. Add all ingredients to the shaker.

  3. Shake well till chilled.

  4. Pour and strain into a Martini glass.

  5. Drop a Maraschino Cherry into the glass.
