When you add a little luck of the Irish to your Mojito , only good thing can happen. This is the Irish Mint Mojito.

Something a little different from your usual Mojito, but this variation of the world popular Cuban cocktail certainly has its own unique strong points. This drink sees the usual combination of White Rum and Soda water swapped out for a bit of Irish Whiskey and Ginger Ale to pair with the other typical Mojito ingredients in Lime juice and Simple syrup.
Of course, this drinks flavour will vairy depending on the brand of Whiskey. In this case Jameson’s Irish Whiskey gives the Mojito a smoother easy going tone that once mixed up with the sweet and sour elements of the drink makes for a great experience.

Ingredients
6 – 8 Mint Leaves
1 ½ oz. (45) Irish Whiskey
¾ oz. (22.5ml) Simple syrup
1 oz. (30ml) Lime juice
Ginger Ale or Tonic Water to top
Garnish : Mint Spring
Preparation
Add the Mint leaves , Lime juice and Simple syrup into a glass.
Muddle the ingredient together well.
Fill the glass with crushed ice adding Mint leaves along the way.
Add in the Irish Whiskey.
Top with Ginger Ale or Tonic Water.
Garnish with a Mint spring.
Further Information
As with most Mojitos , it’s a great idea to rub a Mint leaf around the rim of the glass to give a stronger Mint aroma and flavour to it if that’s what you like.
