One of your favourite winter drinks in Martini form. This is the Hot Chocolate Martini.
We all love a good hot chocolate in these cold winter months, but sometimes you want something a bit cooler and with a kick. The Hot Chocolate Martini takes everything you love about a good hot chocolate and turns it into a delicious Vodka based cocktail full of sweet chocolatey flavour.
The cool thing about this recipe is that you can take your favourite brand of hot chocolate ( and flavour if you want to be adventurous) and add it to the mix to get a different taste from it each time. The Vanilla Vodka and Liqueurs in this drink also add to flavour spectrum and keep the sweet nature of the drink present.
Usually drinks like these can be overbearing and too sweet, but this one finds that perfect “sweet spot” of having all the delicious chocolatey flavour you love about your favourite hot drink but not too much that it would put you off. So, try it out. It’s a great cocktail for those with a sweet tooth. Here is how it is made.
Ingredients
1 oz. ( 30ml) Coffee Liqueur
¾ oz.(22.5ml) Vanilla Vodka
¾ oz. ( 22.5ml) Chocolate Liqueur
3 oz. (90ml) Chilled Hot Chocolate
Garnish : Mini Roasted Marshmallows
Preparation
Add ice to a shaker.
Add in all the ingredients.
Shake well for 10 -15 seconds,
Rim a Martini glass with chocolate syrup.
Pour the mixture into the glass.
Garnish with mini Marshmallows.
Roast the Marshmallows with a culinary blow torch.
