Honolulu

A fruity highball drink in the style of a Tiki punch . This is the Honolulu.

Prep time : 3 minutes

Serves : 1

Strength : Light

Gin based Tiki cocktails are very few and far between. Typically, when you think Tiki you think of Rums, flavoured syrups, and fruit juices but the Honolulu takes things in a different direction whilst keeping all the sweet tropical flavour of the traditional Tiki drinks you might be familiar with.

The use of Gin in this helps cut through the sweetness perfectly without taking away its presence and appeal. This is another Gin cocktail that will change depending on your preference of Gin. Using a typical London Dry Gin such as Gordons is a nice simple way to go , but if you are looking to add a bit more flavour to your Honolulu you might consider an Old Tom or flavoured Gin such as Tanqueray Sevilla Orange.

It is sometimes the small changes in recipes that can help you discover your next favourite drink and this one may just take your fancy. In our opinion, the Honolulu fits perfectly into the world of Tiki drinks and is sure to be a favourite for many.

Here is how it is made.
