Probably as simple as a delicious Gin drink gets. This is the Gin Lime Rickey.
Every now and again you want a solid drink that you can make on a moments notice and with little preparation. The Gin Lime Rickey is just that. Using only three easy to obtain ingredients, you can make a refreshing flavourful cocktail and one that will help you open up to new kinds of Gin.
Its combination of Gin, Lime juice and Soda Water make for a very light refreshing experience that has the slightest sour bite to it. Of course, this is a recipe you can easily alter to your taste if you want more or less sour , alcoholic strength etc. We actually did a non-alcoholic Mocktail version of this recipe a while back called the Lime Rickey, which was just as refreshing but without the Gin.
It’s a great type of drink to experiment with some different types of Gin you may have been eyeing up. Something with a bit more flavour than a traditional London Dry Gin. This also a recipe that can be easily changed by substituting out the Gin for another spirit such as Whiskey , Vodka or Rum. Try it out and see if it catches your attention. Here is how it is made.
