Another tasty Margarita recipe that’s got it all. This is the Frozen Mango Margarita.
Prep time : 4 minutes
Serves : 1
Strength : Moderate
The beauty of cocktails like Margaritas is that they come in so many great forms and flavours. Whether you’re a sweet or sour kind of person, you will probably come across a Margarita that is for you at some point. In the case of a frozen Mango Margarita, you are looking at a sweet and flavourful drink with a chilled smooth texture.
It has the typical build of a Margarita , making use of Triple Sec (Cointreau is the most commonly used brand of this) , Tequila and a sweetener such as Agave syrup or in this recipe sugar. Of course the main difference with this compared to a traditional Margarita is you are blending your ingredients with ice instead of shaking to create that lovely frozen texture that people love especially on hotter days.
The cool part of recipes like these is you can adjust and add to it easily , for example you could add more fruit to it along with the Mango to make for a mixed flavour. If you love a normal Margarita then this little change up could be just what you are looking for in your next drink.
Here is how it is made.
Ingredients
150 g Mango Chunks
1 ½ oz. (45ml) Tequila
1 ½ oz. (45ml) Triple Sec
1 oz. (30ml) Lime juice
1 tbps Sugar
Ice for blending
Garnish : Mango slice
Preparation
Rim a Margarita or Martini glass with Lime juice and sugar.
Add ice to a blender with all your ingredients.
Blend well till you get your desired frozen consistency.
Pour your mixture into your glass.
Garnish with a Mango slice.
