Drinks with a lot of ingredients can sometimes become too much and the flavours of certain ingredients can get lost. But with this tropical dream that is not the case, each ingredient carries its weight and brings something delicious to the table. It’s meteor like look also adds its own appeal to this drink making it that much more tempting.

The Deep Impact has a great combination of sweet fruity flavours and alcoholic strength. The Pineapple Rum with the fruit juices works so well and with the Vodka and 151 Proof Rum, you can bet you won’t have to drink too many of these to make your night that much more fun.

Of course, this being our own original recipe we rate it highly. However, if you don’t believe us try it out just once. You won’t be sorry.

Here is how it is made.

Ingredients

• 2 oz. (60ml) Pineapple Rum

• 1 oz. (30ml) Vodka

• 1 oz. (30ml) Cointreau

• 1 oz. (30ml) Orange juice

• 1 oz. (30ml) Pineapple juice

• 1 oz. (30ml) Lime juice

• ½ oz. (15ml) Orgeat syrup

• 1 oz. (30ml) Grenadine

• 1 oz. ( 30ml) 151 Proof Rum

Rim : Black sanding sugar

Garnish : Flaming Lime shell

Preparation

1. Rim a Hurricane glass with black sanding sugar.

2. Add ice to a shake and add in all ingredients expect for the Grenadine and 151 Rum.

3. Shake well and pour into a Hurricane glass filled with ice.

4. Slowly pour in the Grenadine.

5. Garnish with a Lime shell filled with 151 Proof Rum and set it on fire.

6. Blow out the flame and pour the 151 Rum into the glass (Optional).
