Daiquiris are some of the most versatile cocktails in the world. With them coming in many flavours and forms, you won't be stuck for choices when deciding to make one. This is a simple change up on the original Daiquiri recipe, which see a small addition of one ingredient that makes a huge difference.


Coconut Rum adds a extra bit of sweetness and tropical taste that pulls this Daiquiri slightly more away from its traditional sharp and sour profile. Of course not all Coconut Rums are made equal, so try a few different brands with this recipe to find your preference. Most people opt for Malibu as it is the main stand out brand, but trying a Koko Kanu or even a Bacardi might be a nice change for you.


Basic cocktails like this are sometimes all you need to get a great night started and open your mind up to new exciting tastes. Make a few of these at your party and no guest will be disappointed.


Here is how it is made.







Coconut Daiquiri Ingredients

 
  • 1 oz. (30 ml) White Rum

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Coconut Rum

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) Lime Juice

  • 3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Simple Syrup


Garnish : Lime Wheel






Preparation

 
  1. Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake well till chilled.

  3. Pour and strain into a chilled Coupe glass.

  4. Garnish with a Lime Wheel.
