You may have heard of the Green Arrow, but far from being a superhero this Gin cocktail is super. This is the Blue Arrow.
Another blue drink ? What can we say there is a lot of them out there and they usually come out looking phenomenal. But the Blue Arrow is more than just looks. Between the dryness of the Gin (depending on which brand you are using) and the sweet and sour of the rest of the ingredients in it, it makes for a very solid drink.
The fruity flavours of the Triple Sec , Blue Curacao and Lime juice do mask the Gin well, but you do get a slight hint of the Gins flavour at the end of it. To me this is perfect as I am a fan of cocktails that are strong in their alcohol taste but still have a bit there to get your night started.
I came across this on Tipsy Bartenders website, if you have not checked them out already, I recommend you do as they have a wide range of traditional cocktail recipes along with more modern made for party ones.
There is not much else to say about this cocktail, it is refreshing , very simple but will probably make you want to experiment further with other Gin drinks. Here is how to make a Blue Arrow.
