A little twist on the Brandy Alexander, the Banana Alexander provides a whole lot of sweet creamy goodness with a delightful Banana flavour that runs through it. A sprinkle of Nutmeg on top makes for an interesting spicy finishing flavour for this unique cocktail. Picking a good Brandy for this drink is also important as different brands will have their own level of sweet fruitiness, so choose carefully.
When you see drinks with cream in them it can sometimes be off putting and make you think it will be too sickly. However, we can assure you the Banana Alexander is the perfect balance of sweet creamy flavour with a sharp spicy after taste that you will love.
Here is how it is made.
Ingredients
1 ½ oz. (45ml) Brandy
1 oz. (30ml) Banana Liqueur
1 oz. (30ml) Sweet Cream
Garnish : Nutmeg
Preparation
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice.
Shake well for 10 – 12 seconds.
Pour and strain into a coupe glass.
Sprinkle some Nutmeg on top of the drink.
